Entry #8: The best original shows on (almost) every streaming service

As an avid tv watcher who is subscribed to almost every streaming service out there is best original show on each, in my very expert opinion.

Netflix:

To me personally Netflix's content has been dismal at best in the past few years especially in comparison to the multiple other streaming services that have been popping up over the last few years. I really only watch original shows on Netflix now and even than most of their originals do not catch my interest and the ones that do seem to always get cancelled after only one or two seasons. To be frank the last time I can recall even using my Netflix account was to watch the second season of Young Royals which was months ago. But one show on Netflix that's had me hooked since the literal day season one came out is never have I ever.

Never have I ever follows teenager Devi awkwardly navigating high school after the sudden death of her father. Devi's constant poor decision making what is makes her such an interesting and lovable character. This show is hilarious but can also be a tearjerker, as we watch Devi deal with the loss of her father, the one person she felt truly understood her. We also watch the complicated relationship between Devi and her mom grow throughout the seasons. The fourth and final season airs June 8th.

Hulu:

This show wins by default because it's the only Hulu original I can recall ever watching (I'm pretty much only there for the network shows that stream next day on Hulu) but it's still a good one. Solar opposites is an adult animation show that follows a "pod" family of aliens who crash landed on earth and are now stuck to miserably and hilariously navigate the huma world.

HBO Max:

HBO Max is probably my most used and favorite streaming service. Now, I am of the personal opinion that best shows available to watch on HBO Max are in fact HBO shows not the Max originals but there is plenty of good original content as well. My favorite is titans. Titans is a superhero show based on DC comic book characters. The final episodes stream on Thursdays.

Paramount+:

Since Paramount+ is one of the newer streaming services they don't currently have much original content that personally stands out to me but school spirits is one of the few that has. This show follows Maddie who recently died inside her high school. She joins a group of other students who have died at the school over the decades. But she stands out within her new circle of dead friends in two ways, she doesn't remember how she died, and her alive best friend is able to see her and communicate with her. She sets out on a journey along with the other spirits to find out what happened to her. While her living friends also set out to solve the case.

Disney+:

This is another streaming service I don't often use. The marvel tv shows are definitely the best things to watch on their and my favorite is Ms. Marvel. Ms. Marvel follows teenager and Captain Marvel enthusiast Kamala Khan who just mysterious superpowers after uncovering a family heirloom. Kamal will soon learn being a superhero isn't all it's cracked up to be when she discovers some complained family history that comes with its own set of real-life bad guys.

Apple tv+:

I'm once again saving the best for last. And what other show could I possibly be talking about? If it's show about sports AND has a bunch of British people in it and I'm recommending it, then you know it has to be good. Ted Lasso follow American football couch who is suddenly chosen to be the new manager of a premier football league in England, a sport he knows nothing about. As he learns the art of English football, he must also overcome the of skepticism fans, journalist, and his own team. Under Ted's couching the team, its couches, and even its cynical owner become an odd, big family of sorts. New episodes stream Wednesday.
