Entry#2: Why does it take so long for streaming services to get a new season of a tv show?

Hello to all who are reading. I know the title is very oddly specific and frankly probably doesn't sound all too interesting, but this is my soapbox for today so bear with me. I have recently started watching the show Ghosts (UK) which is actually quite good if you're able to look past the British accents (no offensive to any brits who may be reading, well okay maybe a little.) The first three seasons are available to watch on HBO Max, but the fourth season is not yet available and despite the fact that the season premiered months ago there isn't even as much as an ETA as to when it will be streaming. This makes me ponder the question what exactly is taking so long? I'm not in the show biz but I seriously can not think of a single good reason as to why you have to wait months for a show that is literally already filmed, and millions of people have already seen to come out on a streaming service that you have to pay to use. Especially when you already have to wait a year sometimes YEARS (cough, cough stranger things cough) in between seasons. I am probably the only person born the 21st century that still watches cable television for the very reason that I do not want to wait a second longer than I have to to watch a new episode of a show. That's why I appreciate Hulu's stream next day streaming feature that they have available for a variety of different shows on many of the most popular cable networks. This should be standard for literally every tv show that isn't a streaming service original. At the very least release the newest season the next day or next week after the finale episode airs for heaven's sake! And before anyone wants to make a fact-based agreement about "copy right, blah blah, boring legal stuff, whatever" these multi-million/billion-dollar companies have lawyers on retainer for a reason, they can figure something out. How would streamlining the process of getting seasons to streaming faster not be a win-win for literally everyone involved? The network has more people watching their show, the streaming service has more people using their service, and the consumer doesn't have to wait in agony for another season of the show because they didn't have the misfortune of being born in Britian, which seems to be about the only current way to get access to the fourth season of ghosts. I know you're probably thinking that I'm being hyperbolic, but I assure you I am not. You can't even buy the season on Amazon Prime I mean come one! And yes, I could probably find it on an illegal website, but I am law abiding citizen and also, it's the principle that it simply should not take this long for me to be able to watch it legally! I mean how in depth can this process be, truly. Here's a great idea for anyone who is ever plans on making an app, a streaming service that exclusively has tv shows the day after they air or a whole season of a show at once the day after it's finished. (If anyone who sees this actually does make that streaming service one day, I'll be generous and only ask for a mere 50% of the profit :))
